Why not consider a gap year?
I realise that most of my visitors are people looking to plan their annual summer vacations but there are a few of you out there it seems who are looking for destinations to go for a gap year or study break. I often get asked where I’d recommend having been abroad quite a few times in my lifetime and the answer is always the same, somewhere cultural with a low cost of living.
A gap year abroad to some might seem extremely costly. Especially for school leavers or college students without a great deal of money. But, if you plan it right and go to the right places, the cost isn’t that much. I mean sure, if you’re going to go out partying each and every night you’re going to need a significant allowance, but there are also great things you can do on a budget.
The most costly expense is getting to your destination. Especially if you’re flying to the other side of the world. Once you’re there though, finding somewhere to stay if there are a few of you sharing is relatively straight forward and cheap and finding things to do that for that most part are free is easy also.
The best things in life are free, take some of them in while you’re young and forget about college until next year!
