Tourism In Las Vegas
Las Vegas might not be the tourist destination that it once was, especially with the global economic downturn. Gone are the heavy construction sites that once lined the strip all year round. The lack of tourist activity is there to see, especially for a Las Vegas veteran, but, with that said, Las Vegas is still an extremely popular destination both with American natives and European travellers looking to find out what Sin City is really all about.
For the most part, Las Vegas Tourism is all about letting loose and indulging in some of the sins of life. But, that’s not all Las Vegas has to offer. I mean sure, most people head to Vegas for the vast array of Casinos, Shows, Shops and Nightlife, but there is a lot more to see than that.
The hotels that line both sides of the fabulous Las Vegas Boulevard are some of the most luxurious and largest hotel complexes in the world. I would liken each one to a mini City under a roof. Just going from one hotel to another and browsing the shops inside each would take you months on end. They’re that big.
The other major draw of Las Vegas is the nightlife. All of the hotels feature some of the most luxurious nightclubs in the world as well as a fine selection of lounges and after hours bars that can keep you and your party entertained until the early hours. If dancing and discos are not your thing you might prefer to spend your time taking in one of the many Las Vegas based shows up and down the strip such as the famous Cirque Du Soleil shows or my personal favourite, Bite at the Stratosphere! It might not be to everyones taste but it’s certainly a clear winner for me.
