A Trip to Disney World

The whole time I was growing up I always wanted to go to Disney World in Florida. To be honesty I never asked my parents if we could go – I couldn’t even get them to take me to Alton Towers! It always rankled when better off friends of mine told me they were going – two or three of the boys in my class at Junior School had been and they always talked about meeting Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, that sort of thing could really bother you when you were eight years old!

Anyway, twenty years later and I am fortunate enough to be in a position to be able to take my children to Disney World! When I told them it made the whole thing worth it. If seeing their faces at that moment was all that I would get out of the trip then I would come home happy, although I was still a big kid at heart, and I was secretly as excited as anyone! I managed to find some flights to Florida and I booked the tickets for Disney World separately to save a bit of cash. It was obviously going to be an expensive week!

Once we arrived it was clear that we were going to have the most amazing time. I was desperate to see the Epcot Centre, and my kids couldn’t wait to see the Disney Hollywood Studios. The whole thing was so exciting and even my wife got caught up in it all! Before I knew it she had bought princess dresses for both the girls and she was enquiring bout adult sizes!
